Die Anreise ist nur per Fähre und dann per Wassertaxi (ca. 20 min) möglich. Oder als Segler. Es gibt keine regelmäßigen Flüge nach Union Island. Die Bucht hat durchgehenden Sandstrand, der nach ca. 10m über eine kleinere Felskante in tieferes Wasser übergeht. Durch diese Felskante ist die gesamte Bucht ein Schnorchelparadies. Am nördlichen Ende der Bucht……

It was lovely to watch sailing boats enter the bay while we drank our morning coffee. Peaceful and quiet. “My family and I had a delightful stay in Carriacou in early May 2024. Dave, the host, called me a few days before our arrival and provided details regarding our stay, as well as things to do. He picked us up at the port, stopped at a local grocery store so we could pick up some provisions, and then took us to the apartment where we spent 2 nights and three days. Since the apartment sits up on the hillside, the views were spectacular! We had the Caribbean Sea on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on……

“Moira was a good communicator through WhatsApp. The sunsets were stunning and you could see the sail boats at Sandy Island. Mid day gets hot with no AC so we went to the beach and did exploring in the afternoons. Sleeping was comfortable enough under the ceiling fan.”

“Situated in the hills about 20 minutes away from airport, Tyrell bay dock (ferry from Grenada) and Paradise beach. Quiet location, nicely maintained garden, overlooking the tropical vegetation around the house. Nice view from the balconies over to hills to the sea. We had the standard appartment. One room with kitchen, table and sofa and TV (better not to watch TV but to be on the terrace and enjoying the view and listening to the birds !!) Two bedrooms with baths. No AC, but ceiling fans.……

“Hillsborough is a bit of a shanty town..all the action seems to be in Tyrell Bay now,but Jonas and his people do a great job in my view anyway. Light breakfast and good local menu at night including fresh seafood with a little Japanese local interpretation was very nice...no beach out the front...but I enjoyed my stay here..Thanks Jonas.. ”

“If there was a 6 star option I would give 6 stars. Our stay was perfect. The location was great and secluded and Sue was an amazing host. She answered all our questions suggested things to do and places to eat. She communicated very well and made us feel so comfortable. Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend get away. We are already planning our trip back!”
